Updating Windows Driver to the HP Universal Print Driver

We have been seeing a lot of issues lately with the printer drivers that are built into the Windows operating systems.  This is particularly noticeable in Windows 8 operating systems.

What I think is happening is that Windows is using pre release drivers to try and account for all the different printer models in the marketplace.  These are often falling short and causing all types of buggy behaviour when trying to print.

To overcome these issues it is recommended that you use the dedicated driver for your machine downloaded from the HP website.  Nine times out of ten now it will be the HP Universal Print Driver.

First thing is to go to www.hp.com.au, choose support and download drivers and software.  Enter your relevant printer model and search.  From here you will then be able to select your printer and operating system to show all the options.

If you take a look at the video below it will show you step by step instructions on the easiest way to update your driver to the HP Universal Print Driver.
